BTEC Higher Nationals Diploma Graphic Design (September 2012)
The HND/HNC is a hands-on course. It is where you will learn the skills that industry professionals use everyday and create design concepts fit for the professional market. While we strongly advocate academic and theoretical research, our main emphasis is on practitioner skills that will make you a designer for today’s industry.
HND/HNC course at level 5 is a foundation degree level course offers you the opportunity to develop into an independent creative ready for employment, so we will encourage you to be as imaginative and unique as possible. The course offers the best of both worlds: a qualification that can both secure you work and launch you into the final year of a degree.
On completion of year 1 of the HND student may be awarded HNC (subject to credits obtained).
On completion of 2 years HND Students can use the pathway for a progression to final year for the degree BA/BSc or alternatively proceed to post graduate diploma Level 7.

Mode: Full-Time (36 – 40 weeks per academic year) /Part Time/Distance/E Learning 2 to 3 years
Fees:
- UK Students: £2950 per annum
- Part Time/ Distance Learning (E Learning) £1950 per annum
- International Students: £4500 per annum
- 4 GCSEs with 2 GCE A Level
- B.TEC Level 3/4 Qualification or any associate diplomas in engineering or IT
- International qualification Higher School leaving certificate (intermediate) or equivalent with CEFR B1 Level ESOL/IELTS
- Mature students over the age of 21 with no formal qualification but experience and another qualifications may be admitted at the digression of the admission tutor

This vocational training course of BTEC HND will give you access to learn in a well-equipped professional environment that is welcoming and practical. Individual workstations provide you with a dedicated computer containing the latest graphic software enabling you to develop current skills and compete with contemporary designers who are currently in the industry. Work placements are arranged in a industry i.e. television channels and design businesses will give you first hand practical experience for your working life.
