Outside Training Facilities
The Interactive Media and Information Technology School has fleet of broadcast vehicles available 24/7. Where students can produce and transmit event live across the UK, Europe and even the World. Our OB Vans can cover any event live – including award ceremonies, fashion shows, music concerts, news reports, sport events or even a prestigious wedding. Major events over the past year have included:
- BNP protest march in Leeds and Manchester
- POAF press conference and rally in Manchester
- Fashion Shows
- Events at Hilton Hotel Manchester
- Many Community Events
The OB facilities are available for students to be trained by television network and these include:
- 3 Broadcast Vehicles available at any location in the UK.
- Vehicles fully equipped to cater for individual needs of each client.
- Satellite Uplink for live broadcasting.
- Recording facilities onto DV tape or DVD.
- Self powered offering the ability to broadcast from remote locations.
- Fully Trained Crew available throughout your broadcast.
Studio Training Facilities
The Interactive Media and Information Technology School has modern and state of the art studio facilities in Manchester, Glasgow and London offices for TV production and visual effects. The Interactive Media and Information Technology School provides the perfect settings and its five studios provide diverse settings with full gallery. Equipped with the latest technology, which allows you, to produce a live tv program, film and or television shows. At The Interactive Media and Information Technology School we understand production deadlines and programming schedules and as a studio, we make things work, no matter what. Our studio facilities and the team have the dynamism, energy and track record to deliver stunning results for you, every time.
The facilities include – Fully Lit Studios
- 3 x Tricaster Studio and 3 x MX70 with Video Playback & Graphics Generator.
- 9 x JVC GY-HD251CHE Studio Cameras with CCU’s (extra cameras available).
- Number of Behringer Xenyx Premium Audio Mixer.
- 6 Way Camera & Floor Talkback + 1 Way Talent Talkback.
- Incoming telephone line available through sound desk with floor sound.
- Create your own set and utilise a range of stock furniture, foliage and screens.
- Audience seating available with a capacity of 135 people.
- Studio connected by Fibre to major international networks teleports or Satellite Uplink available.
Also available is a smaller studio with Chroma Key and Auto-Cue facilities, a fully working kitchen which can be used as a live set, as well as a rooftop area offering an angelic panoramic backdrop of Manchester City Centre and suburbs.
The qualifications offered are from vocational training courses, HNC/HND Foundation Degree and Graduate Diplomas, Master Diplomas from 4 to 7 certificate or diplomas and short courses from level 1 to 4.
Customised Graduate Diploma’s -Level 6
This graduate diploma is vocational base course where student is able to specialise in Accountancy & Finance, Business Administration, Interactive Media, IT & Computer Science, Fashion and textile Management and Law. The courses focuses on face to face study, independent learning, practical knowledge of skills, work placement and providing a pathway to final year course at university.
The customised Graduate Diploma of MCHEMT or EBMA is not a QCF qualification and is awarded in partnership with Qualifications Network – An Ofqual Recognised Awarding Body and the Framework of Higher Education Qualifications (FHEQ).
Optional Pathway Dual Band Qualification
MCHEMT is a UK Professional college offering Higher Education Awards and in partnership with Qualifications Network (QNUK) – an awarding body recognised by the UK regulatory authorities for qualifications. MCHEMT & QNUK are offering Dual Brand Awards to learners to increase graduates’ progression, exemption and employment opportunities. On completion of the graduate diploma, the learners may also be awarded HNC/HND subject to appropriate credits obtained in each unit required under B-TEC HNC/HND (Edexcel) programmes.
