Higher Professional Diploma in Law and Legal Practice
Level 6 & 7 (Integrated with Diploma in Conyenancing / QLTT)
This is a cross-sector qualification. Overseas lawyers may be able to use this qualification to gain exemption from the conversion course (Law Society and Bar Council – Subject to Approval) or alternatively International Lawyers can use this qualification to practice as Para legal in place of a training contract and optional students able to take Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test (QLTT) with Law Society. Diploma in Licenced Conyenancing / ILEX; depending on their previous qualifications, the student may also progress to level 7 Postgraduate diploma in legal practice or final year of law degree.

Fees:
- International Student £6,500 per annum
- UK Students £3,500 per annum

Entry Requirement:
- Graduation diploma in law and legal practice
- HNC/HND in Business Law
- Law degree from recognised UK or Overseas University
- All international students are required to have a minimum of B2 level of English as per the CEFR

Skills: Interviewing, negotiating, advocacy, drafting
As part of course all students will have opportunity to spend between 6 to 8 weeks in law practice to gain experience.
Progression Route
On completion of this diploma students may seek employment as Para Legal in law practice. International Candidates- Qualified as Advocates/Solicitors in their home jurisdictions will be able to take the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test (QLTT) with Law Society to qualify as Solicitor or alternatively seek exemptions from Licensed Conveyancers Course (Property Lawyers) and Higher National Diploma in Business Law or can progress into master level diploma leading to LLM.
