BTEC Higher Nationals Diploma in Photography
Manchester College of Higher Education and Media Technology

School of Interactive Media and Technology

BTEC Higher Nationals Diploma in Photography (September 2012)

This course develops students as practitioners in the challenging field of photography, from the traditional areas of black and white darkroom based images to digital photography and image manipulation using computer software.

Higher National Diplomas are nationally recognised vocationally based qualifications and offer a ‘fast track’ two-year route into the media and design industries.

The majority of studio projects undertaken at the College are directly linked to the real requirements of industry and commerce, so students leave the course with a realistic understanding of the client/ photographer relationship.

The practical nature of the course ensures you will develop a range of skills and knowledge that are directly relevant to the realities of today’s Photographic environment.
