A: The following tests and institutions have been approved by UKBA for Tier 4 student visa applications. Please check the relevant website to find out if you can sit a paper-based test or an internet-based test in your country.
Q: What if I have a CAS that was issued prior to 12 August 2010 but I have not applied for my visa yet? Do I have to sit the secure English language test?
A: No. But if your CAS was issued after 3 March, 2010 (and before 12 August) it must confirm that you meet the minimum language requirements for study in the UK which is B1 Common European Framework of Reference for all courses.

A: Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) are valid for 6 months. If a CAS issued after 3 March but before 12 August is still valid, these changes would not affect it.
